The National and International Roundtable, hosted by Multi-Ethnic Sports Hall of Fame President Arif Khatib and Municipal Court Judge Fad Wilson on July 23, featured compelling guests that enlightened, informed, empowered and educated listeners around the globe about the rich history of Nova Scotia's city Africville.

The special two-hour show was broadcasted live from Halifax, Nova Scotia, as part of MESHOF's eudcation tour on the birth of Africville. The show's guests shared stories about the people who pioneered with a spirit that lives on. Nova Scotia is considered the birthplace of modern ice hockey. Before the abolishment of slavery in the United States, freed and escaped slaves in the 1700s and 1800s headed north to Canada and established the city. The tour explores the establishment of The Colored Hockey League by upstanding role models and an organizational talent never seen in Black sport.

The Africville Reunion Tour is celebrated every July. People come to reminisce, to re-acquaint and to re-establish themselves as a community.
