Bernice Carnegie Among MESHOF Award Recipients

Bernice Carnegie, co-founder of the Herbert H. Carnegie Future ACES Foundation, received a Community Award by the Multi-Ethnic Sports Hall of Fame.
During June, Carnegie was in Nova Scotia presenting a special message about her father – ice hockey legend Herbert Carbegie – and his legacy for empowerment through the Future ACES organization.
The educational and life enrichment speaker met Professor Afua Cooper of Halifax University. Professor Cooper's daughter received a 2014 scholarship from the Foundation.
Her father's story can be found in his autobiography A Fly in a Pail of Milk.

Don Anderson Continues to Champion Jamaica With Memoir

Don Anderson, JOIHF consultant/liaison and former vice president of Jamaica Olympic Association, is author of Seoul To Beijing: An Inside View of Jamaica in the Olymic Games. He shares the successes and challenges of Olympic Games, the Jamaica teams, as well as discusses the emergence of Jamaican sprinter and six-time Olympic gold medalist Usain Bolt.
Anderson recently had a speaking engagement for Professor Afua Cooper at Halifax University.
Anderson discusses his book at a New York City book launch event at the Jamaican Consulate.
